Reviews about Wegmans

We like this grocery store. It pretty much covers all that we need. Prices of store branded items are great and quality is good. We get most of their store branded products and are happy with it. The liquor selection is huge with lot of cheap and good wine collection. Breakfast and food bar are nice but a bit pricey. Bakery department is great with plenty of options. Seafood is fresh. Overall, i would say they have good fresh grocery/products and the prices of basics a reasonable. Parking lot is great. I wish the big carts at the entrance are managed better as i have found it blocking the front lower left entrance on several occasions. Great sushi selection.

I've shopped at Wegmans in Burlington for the past few years and have made it my regular store. It took quite a few visits, however, to become acclimated to the store's layout which can be confusing. The prices, while generally good, can vary considerably from say Market Basket. Many commonly bought items such as dairy, breads and some frozen among others are similar to Market Basket and in some cases cheaper. They can also be noticeably more along the lines of Stop and Shop or Shaw's. Cut up produce and prepared bowls can be really pricey. Strongly recommend reviewing weekly flyers from other stores whenever possible. Plusses: cleanliness, wide aisles, courteous staff, open 16 hours/7 days, garage parking, large selection and good pricing of beers, wines and spirits. Good selection of organics and gluten free. In-store pharmacy and cafe. Large cheese selection though pricey. No experience with the deli. Negatives: Get there early or late - extremely crowded during peak hours similar to Market Basket. Few flyers - you don't often know what's on sale. As with S&S, you'll need a Shopper's Club card to take advantage of specials; however, the store sends members periodic magazines with recipes and some coupons. Overall, I like the store and plan to stay with it.
